Hi Team,

Is there a way to calculate the CI's of the coproducts from HRD production (naphtha, propane etc) separately? Or do the results just get aggregated into the 'emissions displaced' line on the Upstream Results sheet. Can that 'Emissions displaced' line item be broken down further to show what contributed?

Thanks!

In the next version of GHGenius we have provided more detail about the co-products/emissions displaced. That version should be released in the spring.

The CI of the co-products does depend on which allocation approach is chosen (energy, displacement or mass).

If you use energy displacement then the co-products have the same CI per MJ as the primary product. If you use mass allocation then the co-products have the same CI per kg of product as the main product. If you use displacement then the CI is the same as the product or products that are being displaced. In the case of HRD, the gaseous products displace NG and the liquid products displace gasoline.
