Hi Don, I was wondering if GHGenius has provided references and methodology for the reference grid CI values provided in the model. I am looking for Alberta grid CI specifically.

In general the electricity mixes in each Canadian region come from the Canadian Energy Regulators Energy Futures reports. The 2021 report is used in 5.02.
The exception is Alberta where the historical data comes from the Alberta Electric System Operator. The CER forecast data is then adjusted to match the historical data at the transition point.
The CER data has always included more NG power generation and it includes power from cogen that never enters the grid. When there was a lot of coal fired power this underestimated the electricity intensity and now with no coal the CER overestimates the intensity.
