clean fuel and conventional fuel was created by akazani
Hello,
What would be the input fields that would be required to do a cradle to grave LCA for conventional diesel again the following 3 clean fuels:
    1. Blue Hydrogen: Produced from natural gas with carbon capture and storage (CCS)
    2. Biodiesel (B100): Derived from canola oil, leveraging Alberta's agriculture sector
    3. Renewable Natural Gas (RNG): Sourced from organic waste, using Alberta's waste management infrastructure
I am a little confused with the fields in GHGenius that represents these clean fuels that require updates to run the program.

Thanks

Set the model to Alberta on the Input Sheet.

The blue hydrogen CI was described in your other post.

You can use the default values for B100 and the RNG (organic waste).

Thank you.
Couple of more questions:
- what would I select as an alternate fuel and feedstock for the three clean fuels?

Hello,
Further to my questions above:

1. I see RNG organic waste in column BK for RNG. Is that correct?
2. For Blue hydrogen, I have selected Column W (H2 and NG)
3. What would be selected for B100?

You had mentioned If the process ends at the plant gate set C253 equal to C254. Set the transportation parameters to zero in columns BH and BI in rows 91 to 102.
Is this LNG and LH2?

For the blue part set B69 to 1.0 and then set the CCS parameters in column U, rows 19 to 26 on the sequestration sheet.
We can use the defaults right?

Column BK for RNG would be correct.

W is the correct column for Blue hydrogen.

Yes you can use defaults for the CCS portion of blue hydrogen. There are some people who think that the capture rate is low but no has an operating facility with higher rates yet.

Column AX has the process inputs for B100 from canola oil.

The model defaults are set up for compressed hydrogen not liquid hydrogen. Liquid hydrogen requires much higher energy inputs.
