India Input sheet querry was created by Rahul12533
This is an input sheet I am preparing, and I am having difficulty in finding some input in ghgeniues model. I now i should only change the yellow box, but if I want to change the new regional value, what will be the right way?

File Attachment:

File Name: GHGeniuesIndia.zip
File Size:29 KB

I am not able to find these input locations in the literature or report.
Please can you resolve it.

The advice to "only change yellow cells" is more accurately "most users should only change yellow cells". There's plenty of use cases where a user may want to make other changes, but it takes a deeper understanding of what they're doing and how the model works. If you start doing this, keep very good track of your changes because the default macros will not reset changes you make outside of yellow cells.

I can point out some of the places you might want to make these changes for India. If I miss anything, you can usually find what you need by using "Trace Precedents" tool in the Formulas ribbon (at least in my version of Excel). A lot of what I'll point to is not information you're likely to alter even when updating a country's data. For example, the grid split is likely to be more variable and impactful than the density of onshore conventional crude oil.

Average grid split: row 357 on Power Gen.
Electricity distribution efficiency: cell M37 on Power Gen. This is a calculated value, but if you have modern data just overwrite the equation.
Crude oil production: B30:G30 on Crude Production. Must add up to 1, it's a fraction of the types of crude oil.
Crude oil production energy: H30:M30 on Crude Production. This is all relative to USA values.
Crude oil characteristics: row 101 on Crude Production.
Petroleum flow: Where India gets its crude oil and refined products are yellow cells on the Petroleum Flow sheet. I7:I95.
Refinery Energy: row 50 on Refineries. This is another area where if you have truly accurate and up to date information you could overwrite the existing formula.
Natural Gas: There's a bunch of data in row 329. Gas production and gas processing are relative to USA values, just overwrite the formula if you have better data.
Coal: row 43 on Coal Mining.

Sir, is there a cell for coal import from other countries?
And how a country's reliance on heavy coal imports will affect its emissions?

On the coal mining sheet look at column R, rows 36 to 46. There are limited options and the default is that all coal used in India is produced in India, but this can be changed if you have the data.
