Sheet Units and exact value related questions. was created by Rahul12533
Dear Sir,1. For Natural Gas Supply sheet in row 329 should i put whole production in natural gas in that sheet (onshore offshore) ,and other value of electricity and residual fuel and other should i put there anuual production and other or keep them same.2. For Refinery Sheet same confusion in row 50, the intensity it ,how does it distinguish between onshore and offshore.3. Units related: for Natural Gas i have MMSCM(Million Metric Standard Cubic Metres) for a yeal so how can i convert it to Kj/tonne. I try to convert it but the value comming very big , should i consider some factors or assumption, please shed light on that.for example i have value of 1783.3 MMSCM for 2024 how can i put it in Kj/tonne.4. same issue with refinery unit how inputs should i convert if i have value of MT, so how you converting them to L/tonnes.5. Same doubt in coal minning sheet in that i have surface and underground value but they are in MT so how can i put in L/tonne in cell C43 & D43
Thank you.
Thank you.

On the natural gas sheet, there is no differentiation between onshore and offshore production. Energy use for natural gas production is not always readily available. It is not necessary to have data for each stage of the drilling process, if you have aggregated data you can use that for one stage and set the other stages to zero.
I am not sure what the questions is on the refining sheet. All refineries are on shore.
For the natural gas row 329 is calculation the emissions from producing the natural gas. Knowing the natural gas production is not sufficient Is there a national energy balance for India that might show how much energy is consumed in Natural gas production? That is the kind of information that needs to be put into the model. See this report. www.mospi.gov.in/sites/default/files/pub...ublication_2024N.pdf
It has as sankey diagram and data table that shows how much energy is used to produce natural has and crude oil. That is the data that is required for row 329.
For coal miming it is the litres of methane per tonne of coal that we need for the model. This link may have some helpful data. ember-energy.org/latest-insights/coal-mi...cal-moment-in-india/
