Hi,

I m trying to find the emission factor associated with production and transport of Diesel type 2 (Diesel used in large merchant freight).

I am a new user of GHGenius and I found a past study that used the program to determine an emission factor for fuel oïl production and distribution.

Which sheet should I use to find the right value if I know the amount of oïl (in Liter) used in my project?

Marine fuel in the model meets the requirements for use in domestic waters so it is 15 ppm sulphur.

I suggest that you use the results on the freight emissions sheet. Column AG has the results for marine diesel. The output on this sheet is g CO2eq/tonne-km of freight but you can adjust the vessel size to change the energy use. For example if you set the vessel size in cell AI5 to 70000 then the energy use is 100 kj/tonne-km. The results are then effectively g CO2/100 kj or if you multiply the results by 10, then you have the g CO2/MJ.
